August 1, 2026 – Today, the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA) celebrates its 99th anniversary. On this glorious occasion, all EIBOARD colleagues extend our warmest congratulations and highest respect to the heroic PLA officers and soldiers, and to all veterans and their families who have dedicated themselves to the nation's defense!
Ninety-Nine Years of Glory, Forged by Iron Will
On August 1, 1927, the Nanchang Uprising marked the birth of a new type of people's army under the leadership of the Communist Party of China. Over the past 99 years, the PLA has grown from scratch, from weak to strong. It has passed through the baptism of the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, and the War of Liberation. It has continuously advanced in socialist construction and reform, and marched forward courageously on the journey of building a modern military in the new era.
From defending the homeland with valour, to racing against time in flood relief and earthquake rescue, to upholding peace in UN peacekeeping missions—the PLA has always been a heroic force trusted wholeheartedly by the Party and the people. It stands as a great steel wall safeguarding national sovereignty, security, and development interests.
